We started our son Matthew on glyconutritionals because of his life-threatening food and environmental allergies as well as his seasonal asthma. His asthma was so severe, that often, he would require a "puffer" every three hours. In the evening, we would put him in the hospital where he would wear a mask which administered three different medications.

The life-threatening allergies began at age three, and more were added each year. At age five, he had his first life-threatening reaction to food: B.C. Bing Cherries. These allergies caused severe swelling of his face, where the whites of his eyes would ooze out like clear jelly. He would get severe swelling of the throat, and quarter-inch thick hives would cover his entire body! We are thankful to God that he is still with us. Matt has been within minutes, and perhaps less from death. He has also suffered with chronic ear and throat infections, which at one point, led to a bacterial infection in the blood (like bacterial menengitis) because of his body becoming antibiotic resistant. He was an extremely sick boy. Doctors put tubes into his ears a few months later in hopes of preventing future ear infections.

Since he was three years old, Matthew was dealing with poor eyesight, which seemed to be worsening every day. He was seeing and Opthamologist on a monthly basis. For one year, his better eye was patched all waking hours, to force the bad eye to focus. It did not seem to be the answer, and the doctor began recommending eye surgery.

At age seven, we began Matthew on a glyconutrient and phytonutrient supplement which came in the form of chewable 'gummi bears' at a dose of two per day. In three months time, we saw significant changes when we visited our allergy specialist. Matthew had also decreased his use of antihistimines and steroid nasal sprays. When Matthew learned how to swallow capsules, we increased his product intake to one glyconutritional capsule, one phytonutritent capsule, one phytogenin tablet, two children's foodform multi-vitamin and mineral supplement, and one fiber capsule per day. Two vitamin C capsules and colostrum tablets were also used as needed. The changes have been incredible! As of Fall 2000, Matthew's allergies are from thirteen known and tested down to two (and those were minor). Tests showed no signs of asthma! In September 2001, Matt's last allergy tests showed that some minor allergies still existed, but the doctor believed that none of them looked serious enough to be life-threatening. Matthew could actually go without renewing his Emp-Pen.

Matthew has now been three years free of all antihistimines, puffers, and antibiotics. During that time, there have been no trips to the emergency room, no serious allergic reactions, no infections of any kind! His eyesight has improved, and no surgery was needed. The Opthamologist indicated that Matthew's eyes were focusing as well as they ever would.
